Meeting April 23rd 2014

Call to order:

2.     Opening meeting at 6.50pm by president Sean Holmes-Smith

3.     Recap of last board meeting.
Minutes of last meeting will be send by email to board members for approval.
4.     Nomination for Dion Dicks to become new VP of Fixtures.

Unanimous approval.

5.     2013-2014 indoor season recap
-       1st half of the season went fine.
-       2nd half of the season: Div 2 was great!!
Div 1 Kings Incident: with suspensions of several players and withdrawal of Kings Club.
-       Indoor Awards:
1.     MVP Div 1- Div 2
2.     Most Sportsmanlike Div1 – Div 2
3.     Most improved player Div1 – Div 2
4.     Most improved umpire.
-       Nominations will be send out to all players by email. 
-       7 Gift cards will be purchased by Board.

6. Umpire checks
            Sean will talk to Derrek about this
            John will be contacted for the outdoor season
            Check has been issued to Wendy for her trip to Den Haag, Holland

7. Outdoor Season 2014
            1. Teams:
o   Cougars
o   Saracens 1
o   Saracens 2
o   Warriors
o   Maroons
o   United Brothers
2. Motion to Accept United Brothers into our league under a 1 year probation period with following conditions:
o   1 red card within probation year will be not tolerated, and team will be expelled from the league.
o   Accumulation of yellow cards will be subject of review by VP
o   Members have to be in good standing
o   100% upfront fees and no reimbursements.
o   Provide proof that they are members of FHA.

8.  Outdoor schedule
-       Start Season will be may 8th 2014 with practice slot for the teams.
-       Start games will be May 15th 2014
-       Thursday night 6.15 PM until 11pm ( Dion will check with U of C)
-       Stampede week no games scheduled
-       End regular season will be Mid-august
-       We will organize fall league
-       Fee per team will be 2100 cad$/per team to be paid before may 15th 2014

9. AGM will be held at the Field on May 15th 2014. Between 1st and second game.

10. Sean will step down as President of FHAC. So we need to find new candidates.
