visitor information

by on 10:08 AM
ATTENTION FHAC CLUB REPS !!! Given the new COVID-19 measures instituted by the Alberta Government in effect on September 20th 2021 – UofC has updated their visitor guidelines on campus – which includes our FHAC league at Hawkings Field Effective immediately – all visitors (FHAC members and spectators) to campus age 12 and over are expected to show: Proof of fully vaccinated status (approved by Health Canada) OR Proof of negative COVID-19 test: Tests must be paid by the user, and must be Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR test completed within 72 hours from attending campus. Tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories will NOT be accepted Full visitor information in link below: https://ift.tt/3i08C8D What will FHAC do to implement UofC’s requirements? FHAC Members: Prior to the start of each game – playing members will need to form a line to allow for umpires to check that each FHAC member meets UofC’s COVID-19 guidelines: o Proof of fully vaccinated status (as approved by Health Canada) OR o Proof of negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours (as outlined above) Please also bring personal ID (driver’s licence or any other Canadian Govt’ issued card with name) to match proof of vaccinated status or negative COVID-19 test Spectators: Spectators will NOT be permitted at our remaining FHAC games. Unfortunately, FHAC does not have enough resources to check every individual at Hawkings Field to ensure our compliance with UofC. Any person found non-compliant will not be permitted to stay on UofC grounds (including Hawkings Field). There are significant consequences for FHAC should any member be found violating UofC’s COVID guidelines so please come prepared to the final games of the 2021 outdoor season. If there are any questions – please don’t hesitate to reach out (or refer to UofC visitor information link above) Thank you for your patience and support of FHAC this season!

by on 11:07 AM
Field Hockey Alberta is hosting an Adult skills session that is open to all skill levels: We are excited to have Chrissy Kilroe come on board to develop and coach these unique adults only sessions. Coach Kilroe was recently the head coach of an American NCAA Division 1 top four team, and has worked with Field Hockey Canada as a performance analyst for the Canadian Men’s Olympic team. The program has been designed to hone the athlete’s outdoor field hockey skills through a series of fun but challenging drills. This is a unique opportunity to master new skills such as tomahawks, reverse sweeps, etc. Come out and expand on your skills under Coach Kilroe’s watchful eye. All skill levels welcome. Please join us in welcoming Chrissy Kilroe to the program and be sure to register early, as space is limited to the first 25 registrants. Microsoft Forms

by on 11:08 AM
Field Hockey Canada is delighted to be sending off our Canadian Men's National Team on their journey to Tokyo 2020 this past Monday. In support of their journey, we have created a "Fan Mail" submission form for the purpose of gathering messages of encouragement that can be sent to them digitally during the Games. If you would be so kind as to fill out the form and share the link within your organizations to show the boys how much we care, that would be greatly appreciated. https://ift.tt/3BdQQXE If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. GO TEAM CANADA!
